The Strict "No Backlog" Rule
If a student fails in ANY course (including the extra courses chosen for Honours), they immediately become ineligible to continue the B.Tech (Honours) program.
Note: If you drop out or fail, any additional Honours credits you already earned will still show on your grade card, but they will NOT be used to calculate your final CGPA.
How to get the 20 Extra Credits
To get the Honours degree, you cannot just use your normal electives. You must earn 20 completely new credits split into two categories:
Honours Electives
12 Credits- You must take a minimum of three specified Honours Elective courses from your respective stream.
- You must score at least a Grade ‘C’ or better in the composite evaluation to earn these credits.
MOOC Courses
8 Credits- You must complete two MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) relevant to your stream.
- Courses must be recommended by the Board of Studies and approved by the Academic Council.
- You must produce the official certification from the MOOC agency as proof.
